Stephanie took her first yoga class over six years ago, and fell in love with the practice. Although she originally took to her mat as a means of physical exercise, to improve her fitness as a horseback rider, she quickly realized there was so much more to yoga.
Stephanie believes the physical, philosophical, and psychological aspects of yoga blend well with her background in healthcare counseling. Yoga can be an empowering, proactive key to wellness and healthy aging, and, anyone, regardless of age, ability or body type could benefit from the transformative and healing properties of yoga.
Stephanie is a RYT 200 Hour Yoga teacher. She has completed a 50 hour intensive yoga training for older adults at Duke Integrative Medicine. Stephanie completed the Baptiste Institute’s Level 1 and the Art of Assisting programs. Stephanie believes in the transformative potential of the Baptiste Methodology, both on and off the mat.
Stephanie is grateful for the blessings yoga has brought into her life. She feels energized, calmed, and rejuvenated when she practices and lives her yoga. She is excited to share her passion and experience with others. Her intention as a yoga teacher is to create a welcoming, supportive environment for anyone looking to explore, and possibly expand, their body, mind, and life through the practice of yoga.
